My abstracts are done in acrylic paint and are often multi media. They include other art materials like graphite pencil, charcoal, and collage. I'm happiest when I'm scraping into paint to reveal the surface below or building up textures that evoke meaning or memories to the viewer.

I like to work with layers of color on paper. Then I can go in and remove some areas and build up other areas. The addition of collage or oil pastels enhances some of the paintings. I enjoy mark making and experimenting with media.

Watercolors
As a watercolor artist I enjoy working in both transparent and opaque watercolors. I like the colors to play across the watercolor paper and intermingle. I love the dazzle of whites and darks on the white paper.
